Obituary
Parvin Ghanipour passed peacefully from this life the afternoon of August 15, 2024. During the last few weeks of her life, Parvin was surrounded by her loved ones.
Parvin was born in Tabriz, Iran on June 16, 1939. Her father was an Iranian military officer during the time of the late king of Iran, Reza Shah Pahlavi. As a child, Parvin’s family traveled throughout Iran. At the age of 19, she married her late husband Muhammad Ghanipour, an Iranian Air Force officer. After the birth of her two daughters, Maryam and Mojghan, the family moved to London for several years. After a brief return to Iran, and the birth of her son Dariush, the family moved to the United States. Parvin continued to live in the United States for the remainder of her life.
Parvin is survived by three children (and spouses): Maryam (Olivier) Gaste, Mojghan (Mike) Hussey, Dariush (Amber-Jo) Ghanipour; eight grandchildren: Armand and Kian Gaste, Sarah and Alex Hussey, Josiah, Samuel, Elena, and Cyrus Ghanipour. Parvin is also survived by five sisters: Parichehr, Parivash, Parnian, Parandeh and Parastoo. She was preceded in death by her husband Muhammad Ghanipour.
