A viewing will take place on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 10:00am at the Grace Murray Funeral Home, located at 5635 Eads St NE Unit 102, Washington, DC 20019.
The memorial service will take place on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11:00am at the Grace Murray Funeral Home, located at 5635 Eads St NE Unit 102, Washington, DC 20019. For those unable to attend the service in-person, you can participate by viewing the live stream of the the service (please scroll up to see the video).
The interment will take place on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Heritage Memorial Cemetery, located at 13472 Poplar Hill Rd, Waldorf, MD 20601 (following the memorial service).
We are asking everyone to wear a mask and social distance.
Obituary
Rahman Ohiazoya Ohiokpehai was born in Surulere Lagos Nigeria on April 27, 1948. He is the second child of Alhaji and Alhaja Isiaka Ohiokpehai. He attended the Yabba Baptiste School, Ahmadiyya College Agege, and Higher School College Sokotu. As a child, Rahman loved to play football. Rahman served as a customs officer in Nigeria before immigrating to the USA in the summer of 1971. Once in the USA, Rahman attended Montgomery Community College, Howard University, Georgetown University, and George Washington University. He was employed as an engineer at Bechtel Corporation and then changed careers to become a Respiratory Therapist. Rahman will be greatly missed and remembered for his generosity and kind heart, in both the USA and Nigeria. His unforgettable smile will forever be embedded in the minds of the lives that he touched.
Rahman Ohiokpehai passed away peacefully on March 23rd, 2022. He leaves to cherish his memories, his son Hassan Ohiokpehai and daughter’s Oro Ohiokpehai and Nora Daniels; grandchildren RaShaude Ohiokpehai and Ifeanyi Ibe, Jr.; siblings Tijani Ohiokpehai and Taju Ohiokpehai and a host of loving family and friends. Services will be held on Friday, April 8th at 10:00 AM at Grace Murray Funeral Home, 5635 Eads Street NE, Washington, D.C. 20019.
