Obituary
On Tuesday May 7, 2024 at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, Roberta M. Martin of North Bethesda Maryland passed away. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Harry I. Martin; devoted mother of Harry I. Martin Jr. (Lina), Gail M. Goode (Harold), Kathryn Martin Brewer (John), Allison M. Martin and Linda Martin Crawford (deceased). She is also survived by her brother Mr. John F. Morning in New York and her sister Mrs. Maurita K. Chisholm in Maryland and many loving relatives including nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Roberta’s passions extended beyond family life; she was an experienced realtor and an avid bridge player. She was a dedicated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, The Links Incorporated, The Pearls, and The Society, enriching her community with her warmth and generosity.
Her family will receive friends on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Dunbarton Chapel, Howard University Law School, 2900 Van Ness Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20008. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pearl & Ivy Foundation, Inc. in memory of Mrs. Roberta Martin (P.O.
